Company Recognizes Fifteen Texas High School Graduates as Vexus Scholarship Award Recipients in Awards Ceremony
LUBBOCK, TX (June 10, 2022) – Vexus Fiber, (“Vexus”) a leading provider of fiber-based residential and business internet and telecommunications solutions, held an awards ceremony for the 2021 Vexus Scholarship Award Recipients at the company’s Lubbock Office at 4006 W Loop 289, on Thursday, June 9th at 4:00 PM CT. The fifteen scholarship winners will each be receiving a $3,000 tuition scholarship as part of the Vexus Scholarship Program.
Brian Borthwick, Director of Operations for Lubbock and Amarillo region at Vexus Fiber, stated, “The recipients of this year’s awards have each demonstrated a strong sense of civic responsibility, remarkable scholastic achievement, and an ability to overcome hardships and challenges in each of their lives. They have shared with us just a glimpse of their future plans and goals and how this scholarship will help them.”
The Vexus Scholarship Program was designed to provide financial assistance to students who have a desire to further their education so that they can acquire the knowledge and skills to better prepare for the future.
The winners of the 2022 Vexus Scholarship Program are Brianna Acevedo of Littlefield, Gunner Dockery of Whitharral, Ricardo Estrada of Levelland, Brookelyn Gau of Littlefield, Katelyn Gau of Littlefield, Christian Gonzales of Smyer, Benjamin Langford of Pampa, Xochitl Moralex of Slaton, Itzell Perez of Pampa, Dylon Redmon of Littlefield, Malachi Reyes of Abernathy, Zadie Rios of Slaton, Rebecca Rodriguez of Hale Center, Quintessa Rodriguez of Pampa, and Adley Smith of Smyer.
Each year, Vexus Fiber awards different amounts of scholarship funds to High School Seniors in the rural communities we serve. Established under Chapter 74 of the Texas Property Code, the Vexus Fiber Scholarship program has awarded over $90,000 since its inception in 2018. The next scholarship deadline for graduating seniors who wish to apply will be in March 2023.
